Frequently Asked Questions
| |
Do you offer courses and training?
Yes. For professionals as well as for individuals and hobbyists.
Do you offer distance or online courses?
No. All the training we provide to date is delivered in person.
Do you have a book, video or DVD made by you for learning at a distance?
Yes. You can find our DVD course in specialised retailers.
Where do you give the courses?
Usually we travel to the place where the training is to be held.
A company or organisation hires us to run the courses and they take care of managing the students.
There is also the option of travelling to our city, although always as part of a group set up to take the course.
Can you come to give a course in my city or country?
Yes. As we mentioned in the previous question.
Do you offer individual courses?
Yes. This way the person taking the course receives our full attention and we progress according to their level, needs and the goals they wish to achieve.
Can one learn without a Master present?
Yes, it is possible. Although the difficulty is high, and it is highly advisable that at some point a master of carving supervises the progress made, in order to refine, polish the mistakes and correct the bad habits that are gradually acquired. As with any other art, learning from more experienced masters makes it easier to evolve and advance in the technique.
Do you offer open courses run directly by you?
Not at present. The reason is our busy schedule of commitments and requests from companies and organisations. Our intense work promoting the art of fruit and vegetable carving leaves us little time to organise open courses run by ourselves.
How long do the courses last?
It depends on the objective you wish to achieve. We have run courses ranging from one hour to several days long. We always establish beforehand what you wish to learn or achieve through the training, and we set the duration according to that objective.
Do you have materials and documentation about the world of fruit carving?
Yes. Due to the extent of our work, agreements and activities, we are in direct contact with manufacturers, distributors and suppliers of materials and books.
We use the best tools on the market and are always researching new materials and tools to make the work easier for people who are just starting out or who want a more commercial production.
Are there books on fruit carving and do you have them?
Yes. We have some books available for purchase that deal with the art of carving.
Internally, we have an extensive library on carving and directly related subjects (more than 100 volumes), brought from all over the world.
Do you give exhibitions, demonstrations and talks about your work?
Yes. It is a very common activity, both for spreading the art itself and for promoting healthy eating, cooking techniques, commercial attractions, etc.
Can you show me and/or send me more photos and examples of your work?
No. What is on the website is what we wish to show. If we want to display more work, we will do so through it.
We regret this decision, but the cunning of certain people who look for photos to copy ideas, claim them as their own, and even have the nerve to show our work to others passing it off as theirs, has led us to take it.
The work we currently produce is of our own design and conception and represents a great effort of creativity and execution. In this way we also protect the arrangements we create for our clients.
